Youth Jobs PaTH Employability Skills Training (PaTH)

Watch the video below about Jonathon Trigg on gaining apprenticeship employment at the Mid City Motel. Jonathon completed block 1 of the Prepare Trial Hire (PaTH) Program with us, this is a great success story and we are proud to share it!

Youth Jobs PaTH aims to maximise the chance of young job seekers (jobactive clients) under 25 getting a job.  The pathway has three elements;

Prepare (Employabilty Skills Training) – Trial – Hire

This is aimed to help job seekers better understand what employers expect of them in the workplace, whilst equipping them with the skills, attitude and behaviours for them to be successful in a job.

Commencing 1 April 2017, job seekers will receive employability skills training which industry is endorsed and evidence based to ensure young job seekers can be competitive in the labour market.

A voluntary internship placement of between 4 – 12 weeks to give job seekers a chance to show what they can do in a real workplace.  Ultimately at the end of the job seekers training period the job seeker will have a greater skill set and on hands experience to assist with finding long term employment.
