Gerard commenced his own electrical contracting business in 1986 and has been a long term supporter of training electrical apprentices through the Group Training model. His keen interest in the skill development of our regions youth is equaled by his passion for community engagement and regional development.

Helen runs a small Real Estate and Livestock Agency and is very active in the community.  She brings significant experience to the board and draws on her extensive directorship knowledge.  Helen is also a director of Monivae College Board and has qualifications in Bachelor of Arts, Diploma of Education and a Certificate in Real Estate.

Kevin has extensive experience in the provision of corporate services at an executive level within local government. Along with a Bachelor of Business, Kevin has a strong background in financial management, auditing and governance. Kevin is a strong advocate for working collaboratively with business and community organisations to achieve positive outcomes.

Appointed in February 2016, Shannon commenced working life as a qualified Fitter and Turner and is currently a senior manager with the Port of Portland. Given Shannon’s work history; he is a passionate supporter of apprenticeships and traineeships and is actively involved in his local community.

Since retiring from a senior role in the VET sector Barrie maintains effective links to the community and has a strong understanding of vocational, education and training.
