Fresh Fruit & Veg Produce Manager – Port Fairy IGA

Westvic Staffing Solutions in partnership with Port Fairy IGA  currently have a position available for a full time Fruit& Veg Department Manager to join their team.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have past experience working with fresh food or in a similar retail position and be able to work as part of a team or individually.

This is a full time position working Monday to Friday (38hrs) with the possibility of some public holiday and weekend work.

Duties will include:

• Ordering of produce
• Setting up all fresh produce displays
• Stock rotation
• Sole Responsibility of running a fresh food Department
• Working with and managing Junior staff
• Knowledge of seasonal produce
• Highly organised and efficient
• Self-motivated and pro-active reliable team player
• Lead and manage a small team to ensure efficient fruit packing, loading and unloading
• Food handling/safety knowledge
• Ordering stock and liaising with suppliers/markets
• Sourcing the best quality produce
